PEACE ROUTE : this route has been named this way for a period of tranquility enjoyed in the area was after 12 years of civil war; this area was one of the main scenes great battles.this route is made up of sites that have now become paceful enviroment full of natural beauty pristine,rivers,waterfalls and ideal sites for camping.

In this route you will be able to perceive the quiet of a beautyful mountains area,with many  natural tourist locations such as rivers,mountains,caves and scenics spots.learn the history of the civil war told by its protagonists and reflected  in its museum. You can visit important places filled with memories,participate in arts events such as their winter festival,camping on its paceful plains and do tours on horseback or montain bike through beautiful landscapes.

Main atraction is the holly spirit where the art rupestre.the site is very importan  because evidence of the oldest human presence in El Salvador 

MAIN ATTRACTIONS:

This monument was built in memory to around 900  people (women, men, children, pregnates women and so for) who were asesinated during the Civil War in our country, in the 80`s. That happened in a suburb called EL MOZOTE,  it was a counterinsurgency operation in December 10, 11, and 12, 1981. People was kille by "Batallon Atlacatl". It is considered on the most violence act against civil people during the Civil War. Behind the monument is a large list with the names of killed people.

also visit town and villages close by such as torola,meangera,jocoatique or el rosario,where ou can appreciate the rural and ancestral heritage of the lenca origin,making a desirable stay for foreign and domestic visitors,with a very typical gastronomy of the area and service full of kidness.this route is made up of eight towns wich keep their lenca traditions and roots and proudly offer atractive events and dances.

Arambala: villa which has a beutiful chuch and hard working people.in this town you find the sapo river,whose turqoise waters bring breathtaking scenary.the memorial site of el mozote is an important place of pilgrimage in honor of the martyred people during the civil war.the cascada el perol hvs waterfalls with differents depths.el llano del muerto is natuural settting,ideal for camping and outdoor activities. 

Cacaopera: importan prehispanic of the city wich counts with one of its atractions a celebration once year during the month of january 13 to 17th Dance of the Feathered is performed in honor of mother Earth,and expresses the joy of the new year.also visit the museum Winakirika whose name means our people in katawira languges.the river Torola bathes its territory and many other places like pounds and waterfalls where people can enjoy in the harmony with nature.
